Who it reaches
A returnee lands, and within a few weeks somebody has invited them to a meal, put them in touch with a church two train stops away, and added them to a group that meets on a Wednesday night.
That is what the money pays for. Not the airport run itself, but the staff member who knew they were coming, and the local leader who was ready.
What it funds
Two offices, a handful of full-time staff, and the associate staff and volunteers who carry the regional groups. In the 2026 fiscal year JCFN moved to vacate its North America office to cut operating costs, while three Japan staff candidates, Yu Hoshino, Akari Hirase and Izumi Takahashi, worked through deputation to raise their own support.
Sustaining membership runs $40 (or ¥4,000) a year. In early 2025 JCFN asked its readers to pray toward 300 members.
